Oakwood takes prayer requests from all who ask! We acknowledge each request in a special time of witnessing every week. We read aloud and pray over each name, recognizing their suffering, asking for spiritual support from Jesus Christ and finally realizing God is constantly making all things possible according to His Will for each of us. Members of Oakwood know to call a member of the prayer team with prayer requests, and we have prayer request cards in the sanctuary!

You are invited to enjoy 30 minutes of guided prayer and meditation weekdays (come a few minutes beforehand for brief instruction)! The prayers are inspirational, contemplative and support healthy recovery. This is an outreach ministry of Oakwood UMC, facilitated by Lea Jacobs.
